Ask five cleaning companies for an hourly rate and you will get five numbers that tell you very little. The rate is not the cost. The cost is the rate multiplied by the hours your site needs, and nobody knows the hours until they have seen the site.
What we look at on the walk-through
- Floor types and areas. Carpet, vinyl, tiles and rubber gym flooring all take different time and products.
- Washrooms, kitchens and change rooms. These drive most of the hours on most sites.
- Touchpoints. Door handles, equipment, lift buttons, reception counters.
- Access and hours. When we can be on site, alarm codes, keys and who signs us in.
- Compliance. Working With Children Checks for childcare, White Card for construction and building sites, any site induction.
What you get afterwards
A written scope: each area, what gets done, and how often. Then a price built on that scope. If something on site changes, we change the scope with you in writing.
Why this matters when you compare quotes
A low quote built on too few hours ends one of two ways. The work slips, or the price goes up once the contractor sees what the job takes. A scoped quote costs a site visit up front and saves the argument later.
